Aboard an experienced local seafarer’s boat, you will be taken across the Sarawak River mouth to the Salak & Kuching Wetlands National Park area where pods of the rare Irrawaddy Dolphins or Orcaella Bevirostris reside and might make a special appearance if you are lucky. Your morning cruise will also take you past the quaint Kampung Salak or Salak Village and around the rich mangrove areas of the park where you may spot some monkeys and even crocodiles if the tide is low enough.
Enjoy a brilliant sunset out on the water as our local boatman ferries you across the river mouth over to the Kuching Wetlands National Park for the start of your evening dolphins and fireflies spotting cruise. As with the morning cruise you might get a glimpse of the rare Irrawaddy Dolphins, Proboscis, Silver Leaf & Macaque Monkeys in their natural habitat. What sets this trip apart though, is the experience of seeing the dancing festive lights of the fireflies as the brilliant colours of sunset darkens into night.
